WELCOME to the online home of the Muskoka Field Naturalists. We are an enthusiastic group of more than 100 individuals with a keen interest in nature who participate in a wide variety of activities. We hope that you like what you see and will want to join us!

Come out to our monthly meetings and enjoy presentations on fascinating natural history topics. New members and visitors of all ages are always welcome!

Join us on one of our regular outings in the Muskoka area and beyond. Winter finds us on snowshoes searching for tracks in the local woods. In spring and summer we are in pursuit of birds and butterflies. When the leaves change colour we enjoy a fall fungi foray.

Each year MFN members also participate in a number of nature counts and projects. Find one that interests you. No experience necessary.

Want to know what to see and where to go in Muskoka? Check out our Go Wild pages for information on the flora and fauna of Muskoka and insider information on local "hotspots".

Are you more of an armchair naturalist? Want to know what's on our bedside tables? Browse our Good Reads page for great suggestions for your reading list.

Still not sure that MFN is for you? Check out our listings of past meetings and outings to see what you have been missing!

Don't forget to follow us on Facebook.
